Feeling Funny.

I have a lot of random things I'd love to tell you, but I don't want to bore you, so I'm going to make it in a list form so everything is more condensed.

  • Thanksgiving. I can't even explain the pain Thanksgiving gave me. I didn't eat the day before in hopes that it'd help me feel better about eating so much, but it didn't help at alllll. I didn't even eat that much for me, and I still felt like such a pig. A big, fat, horrible pig. I felt like a big ball of blubber that needed to go run 5 miles. And I almost had a full on panic attack when I heard my gym was closed for the break. I need to go to the gym. It's killing me.
  • Black Friday- I had SO much fun. My best friend and I woke up at 4 and went to the mall. I got some amazing things and at such great prices! (haul soon :] )
  • I have lost 3 pounds. I know I should be trying to recover and everything, but when I discovered that I got SO happy. I was so enlightened in the fact that I've just become even thinner AFTER Thanksgiving. I'm not really sure where I stand on recovery anymore...

My friend and I had a photoshoot a few weeks ago and I just received the proofs from it! I thought I'd share a few....

I hope you all's Thanksgiving was great!

A long awaited update...

Hi everyone!

I'd like to thank you all for staying with me and hopefully not forgetting about me! If you're reading this, thank you. My apologies for not posting this sooner, life has certainly taken a turn on me recently and this blog is about to completely change its dynamics.

High school has been a rollercoaster of events for me. I've been doing a lot more photos, and my image has become an obsession for me. You could say I'm on the search for perfection when I very well know that perfect is far from what I've become, but rather a big disoriented mess.

A recent photo with a friend. (I'm on the right)

I've found myself journaling my feelings and thoughts a lot lately, and this blog seems like the perfect place to put my voice out there. Think of it as a cry for help in disguise. I've been allowing myself to forget everything and party just a little bit too hard in hopes that the need for perfection will diminish forever. So far, my pitiful attempts have failed, as they obviously should.

This is a goodbye to all of those that have followed me strictly for the fashion/diy things, and a warm welcome to those that are here for the long run, and are eager to see the path of recovery begin. I will be posting my meals and fitness habits more than anything. A lot of ramblings are to be expected as well. The cheap teenager that spends too much money at thrift stores is definitely NOT planning on leaving anytime soon, you bet I'll have fashion-y things here and there, it's just not my main focus at the time.

Me and my friends at homecoming, I'm on the right.

Every day brings a new story for me, it'd be an honor if you'd join me and read along as a evolve. I'm not necessarily ready for recovery quite yet, the time will come.

LittleBirdBlue's Giveaway!

Victoria from Little Bird Blue (she runs a blog and youtube channel) is holding a contest! I thought I'd let you guys in on it and even if you don't enter, you have got to check out her vintage Etsy store! It's so much more realistic than many vintage Etsy stores and everything I've seen is under the $25 price range, with most being under $10!

Things I'm eyeing in Victoria's store:

In her contest, Victoria allows you to either receive $25 credit in her store, or let her get to know you and get a surprise package! If I won, I would definitely choose the surprise LOL.

Here is a link to Victoria's video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vX_UhDyHjtU

I would also like to apologize for the extreme lack of posts! I have been loaded with school work and tests and I've also started up modeling again, which takes up quite a bit of time! I thought I'd share with you a few photos from my most previous shoot!

ha-ha-haul.

Here's a few things I've gotten lately; there's so much more, but I felt like it would begin to get boring.. If you guys would like a video of me showing everything, I can totally do that, just ask

First off, I got these awesome high-waisted jeans with the most amazing bell-bottoms from Gap, but bought at the Goodwill for around $6

I got all of these amazing shoes! Brown Chukkas-Salvation Army for $13(they were a French brand and are the comfiest things ever.)  Black Gladiators- Plato's Closet for $7      White strappy sandals- Michael Kors from Goodwill for $3.
brown espadrilles- urban outfitters for $10. they are so comfy and I LOVE the added height.

I fell in love with this Donna Karen cropped sweater from Goodwill for $6

This black sparkly purse matches everything. My grandma gave me this:] I fetched the map purse from a local Vintage-Thrift store for $2.

I hate Forever21, but this top is adorable and although it was $17, I feel like I will get plenty of use out of it.

These tribal printed shorts from Goodwill were $4 and will be so cute with some wedges.

I love this teacher skirt from SalvationArmy and it was only $3. This will go well with the Forever21 top.

I found this Forever21 dress perched on a mannequin in Goodwill and could not resist! It was only $8..

                                                                       Sugar helped me blog ;]

I got some more things from Forever21 and Urbanoutfitters, if you want a post or video showing them, all you have to do is   ask

So I pretty much totally stole this format of a blog post from MelissaMUSIK. I don't have anyone to take cutesy blog pictures of me and what i'm wearing, so..uh..i'm kind of stuck with cheesy pictures with horrible flash. yay! ;]
CHECK OUT MISSY'S BLOG:  http://melissamusik.com   She is pretty much my style inspiration and she makes the best thrift hauls.

new hair!

I rarely get my hair cut. I usually just cut it myself because I'm pretty cheap like that. But today I went and got it done a friend of my brother's and I'm pretty much in love.

shirt-UO
skirt-Forever21
belt-grandma's
shoes-sal army
socks-DIY

my new doc martens came today! I was so excited, but they were in the completely wrong size and way too big!!
So sadly, I'm sending them back and having to wait 2 more weeks! ugh, i wish there was a quick way to instantly get things you order online!

I'm SO sorry I haven't posted since i got back from vacation, I've been so super busy! I have a haul video I've made of the things I bought while on vacation, mostly thrifted. Would anyone be interested in it?

oh! and I almost totally forgot, THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!
I've gained so many followers and I haven't even been posting frequently!
I apologize, you guys deserve more posts, and will definitely be getting more, I promise!!
thank you so very much!

obsessions and farewells.

Every time I go on UrbanOutfitters' website I  find myself eyeing this beautiful kaleidoscope quilt! It's the perfect mix of granny-meets-aztec and the quirky geometrical shapes are mesmerizing. I am on the hunt for a look-a-like of this baby. Maybe I'll get lucky on vacation while thrifting and score a quilt like this!

Which brings me to my next topic; I'll be on vacation for the next week! No worries, after that I will have plenty of outfits and thrift finds and who knows, maybe a video ;] I need to get this blog out there, I'm just not sure how hahah:] one day I'll get there:]

See you lovelies when I get back!

Feelin' Floral

This skirt is probably one of my absolute favorites. It's quite a shocker because I tend to stick to darker colors in my wardrobe, but this skirt just stood out so much that I just had to get it!

Looking back at these pictures, I regret not wearing a huge floppy hat with this. Next on my must-have list: a super obnoxiously big floppy hat.

shoes- Gianni Binni from Dillard's Clearance Outlet  skirt-thrifted on half-off day at Sal-Army   clutch- brother's girlfriend's   shirt-H&M bought thrifted   belt-stole from grandma's closet hehe:]   earrings: mom's

hope you had a great day!:]
